This vibrant Silk Kantha saree is another intricate example of the Gujarati work style, featuring a bright mustard-yellow base decorated with a highly structured geometric layout. The design is dominated by a dense grid of repeating teal and black cruciform motifs, which create a sharp, mathematical aesthetic characteristic of Western Indian regional embroidery. The central field is neatly organized into a rectangular frame, while the borders consist of larger, interlocking diamond-shaped bands that provide a bold, architectural finish to the textile. Each element is meticulously defined with fine hand-stitching, beautifully merging the folk-art symmetry of Gujarati patterns with the traditional, rhythmic needlework of Kantha.
